| Duncan & Miller's Early American Sandwich pattern. This was reproduced by Indiana Glass Company for Tiara Exclusives, Montgomery Wards and others. The differences are that Duncan & Miller's egg plate has a polished bottom rim while the bottom rims of the others are only molded; and Duncan & Miller's egg plate is very flat, while Tiara's egg plate curves upwards into a shallow bowl shape. Tiara's Sandwich also was made in colors that Duncan & Miller never produced. The confusing colors would be clear, amber, yellow and pink. I do not believe that Duncan produced this in pink, blue or yellow, but cannot prove that, yet. I'm told that Tiara did not produce it in blue -- but I do have a blue one that is not Duncan & Miller's (because it does not have a polished bottom rim). The blue one is believed to be Indiana's that was made for Montgomery Wards. |
